Markets are stabilizing following Monday’s sharp repricing, as investors absorb the activation of new global tariffs while reassessing earnings durability, rates equilibrium, and forward liquidity conditions. Cross-asset signals—from Treasury yields to FX stability and commodity resilience—indicate institutional capital remains engaged, with positioning increasingly aligned toward structural growth and policy-resilient economies.

U.S. equity futures are modestly higher this morning, signaling early stabilization following Monday’s broad sell-off driven by AI disruption concerns and policy uncertainty. Dow futures are up 0.3%, S&P 500 futures are advancing 0.2%, and Nasdaq-100 futures are gaining 0.3%, as markets absorb the implementation of the new 10% global tariff regime that took effect at midnight. Premarket activity highlights continued institutional commitment to AI infrastructure investment, with Advanced Micro Devices rising 13% following Meta’s large-scale GPU deployment initiative, while Intel and Keysight Technologies also advanced on AI-aligned developments. At the same time, weakness in select consumer and cyclical names reflects growing sensitivity to margin pressure and capital costs, reinforcing a more selective market environment driven by earnings durability and structural positioning.

Fixed income and currency markets are providing critical confirmation of broader financial stability. The U.S. 10-Year Treasury (4.13% coupon) is trading at 100.75, yielding 4.03%, holding near a key equilibrium level that supports valuation stability while reflecting balanced inflation expectations. The U.S. dollar remains broadly stable across major crosses, trading at 1.1774 versus the euro, 155.98 against the yen, and 17.2946 against the Mexican peso, indicating steady global capital flows rather than defensive repositioning. Commodities continue to reflect geopolitical and monetary dynamics, with crude oil holding between $66 and $72 per barrel amid ongoing U.S.–Iran tensions and supply risk considerations, while gold is consolidating near $5,176–$5,197 following recent gains driven by institutional hedging and central bank diversification. Crypto markets remain in consolidation, with Bitcoin at $63,308 and Ethereum at $1,826, reflecting liquidity normalization within a broader institutional adoption cycle.

Globally, economic and financial conditions remain supportive of selective capital deployment. European markets are cautious amid trade policy uncertainty, while Asian markets demonstrated relative stability supported by improving policy expectations and sustained investment flows. Mexico continues to demonstrate resilience, with the peso holding near 17.29 per dollar, supported by attractive interest rate differentials, nearshoring-driven investment, and fiscal discipline. Latin American economies broadly remain positioned to benefit from global supply chain realignment and commodity demand stability. Investors now turn their attention to key forward catalysts—including Consumer Confidence data, Treasury auctions, Federal Reserve commentary, Nvidia earnings, and the State of the Union address—which will provide critical clarity on growth trajectory, inflation expectations, and liquidity conditions. These developments will help determine the pace and durability of market stabilization in the sessions ahead.

Ionfi Strategic Insight

Current market conditions reflect normalization following rapid technological and policy-driven repricing. Cross-asset stability—particularly in rates, currencies, and emerging markets—indicates that financial conditions remain orderly, with capital deployment increasingly aligned toward structurally resilient sectors and economies.

Mexico and Latin America remain strategically relevant within this environment, supported by favorable monetary policy, capital inflows, and supply chain realignment.
